Name: Leah Stones

Height: 5ft 4in

Weight: Somewhere near 110lbs, give or take

Real Age: 23, but looks to be around 19/20 years old.

Short Backstory: Grew up to be a relatively normal girl in New England, taking an interest in music at a very early age. For her 10th birthday, she received an acoustic guitar, and kept it with her ever since. Music was her coping mechanism for those awkward teenage years, fights with her on and off again boyfriend, and anything else in her life that seemed to go wrong (oh dramatic teenage struggles). It was easier to learn the chords to some Pink Floyd albums than face the challenges in her life.

Fast forward to college, finds out that her boyfriend had been cheating on her, with quite a few other girls. Heartbroken and ready to just swear off relationships all together, until she develops a crush on one of the regulars at the CD store she worked at. Something was different about him, and there was. She didn’t figure that out until she had her neck bitten and her body thrown in a dumpster. Miraculously survived on her own for a few months, then caught a break with a young medical student who was living to help her (spoilers: it didn’t work out for long).

What has she been doing since RC?: After begging for her life to not be burned to a crisp in a tanning bed, the rest of the tournament seemed to be a blur. All she remembers is sitting next to Jewels for awhile (don’t worry, she remembers Jewels act of kindness), then getting a UV flashlight in her face, then waking up back in Boston with her stuff.

It’s been three years since the tournament, and having progressed little to get that cure she was so desperate to obtain. With only one small lead to go on (and little hope of getting it) she’s starting to question if this cure is even possible anymore. And if she should learn to accept that she’ll be a “blood sucking freak” forever. Leah no longer plays in subway stations for loose change, but in an obscure and underground club run by a few vamps like herself. It might not be much, but it’s all she has.

Personality: Generally friendly, tends to try to do the right thing if she can, but has become a little more distant over the past couple years. Only talks to people if they approach her first, and not one to spill out her life story (unless you are really nice or really manipulative).

Always seems to be humming/singing to herself, tapping her foot along to melodies in her head. Music is, and always has been, her coping mechanism, and spends a majority of her time playing her guitar or listening to something. If you have a room next to hers, get some earplugs because she never shuts up. If you interrupt her during a song, she’ll practically bite your head off.

Abilities: Standard vampire powers (seeing in the dark, nocturnal, hearing slightly improved, razor sharp teeth that can suck blood, enhanced strength) and an expert guitarist.

Fighting Style: STILL DOESN’T HAVE ONE (what the hell Leah). The most she’ll do is punch, kick, and bite her way out of things and hope it works. The more blood she loses (or the more hungry she is), the more progressively violent she will become (and unaware of her actions).

Weaknesses: Lack of blood (for three days or more is the worst), if anyone touches her guitar, sunlight, fire, no reflection in mirrors, tanning beds, very cold to the touch, has no sense of taste or smell besides blood.

Why in the hell would she want to come back?:

Other important notes:
- Tends to lie about her vampire age quite a bit, and forgets what she told a person to keep her story straight. This ranges from 60, 100, 27, 3052, or just about any number underneath 4,000.
- Music preferences tend to be anything from the 1960’s-1980’s (Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Queen, Grateful Dead, etc), but she is inclined to like some music from this era. Most of it tends to be alternative, rock, metal, or a good instrumental medley. Though, she thinks the rest of it is a bunch of shit.
- Has a deep hatred for a certain song about a bird. She can play it, don’t expect her to.
- The tattoo circling her wrist, is the very beginning notes to “Stairway to Heaven”. She doesn’t tell people what it means, but hopes that someone can figure it out.
- Open to requests for songs, but has a deep hatred for a certain Free Bird.
- Still has a general grasp of modern culture/jokes, but hasn’t had much time to keep up with that stuff lately.
- Has a very high tolerance to alcohol (thanks to vampire powers, even she doesn’t fully understand it), so she could drink you under the table pretty quickly. Once you get her drunk, there is no in-between. Vampire hangovers are the worst.
- Relationship wise, prefers to stay away from that. She’s still capable of feeling something, but she’s gotten hurt too many times and that’s the last thing she thinks she needs right now.
